Your Middle East Travel Specialist

Over the years, I’ve explored deserts, mountains, and coastlines across Arabia — not just as a traveller, but as someone who has lived, guided, and learned from the people and cultures that make this region so special.

While my expertise comes from experience, it’s always lovely when that’s recognised officially — so I’m thrilled to share that I’ve recently earned specialist certifications from:

🌴 Qatar Tourism
🌆 Experience Abu Dhabi
🏞️ Oman Tourism
🌌 AlUla, Saudi Arabia – both Specialist and Advanced levels

These programmes are designed for travel professionals who want to truly understand each destination — from its culture and heritage to its accommodation, experiences, and sustainability initiatives. They’re also a brilliant source of fresh updates and insider knowledge straight from the tourism boards themselves.

Experience Abu Dhabi Specialist

Having lived in the UAE for many years, this certification deepened my appreciation of Abu Dhabi’s growing appeal as a cultural, family-friendly, and sustainable destination. The training explored the emirate’s world-class attractions — such as the Louvre Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, and Saadiyat Island — alongside its desert heritage, mangroves, and rich Bedu traditions.

AlUla Specialist & Advanced Specialist

This two-tier programme was truly inspiring. AlUla’s landscape is extraordinary — home to ancient Nabataean tombs, sandstone canyons, and unique open-air museums. The training covered its UNESCO-listed sites like Hegra, the contemporary art and cultural scene, and the region’s sustainability-first tourism model. Completing both levels deepened my understanding of how AlUla blends history, creativity, and conservation to create unforgettable visitor experiences.

Oman Tourism Specialist

Oman will always have a special place in my heart, and this programme beautifully reflected why. It focused on Oman’s diversity — from Muscat’s elegant coastline to the towering peaks of Jebel Akhdar, the golden sands of Wahiba, and the frankincense trails of Dhofar. The course also showcased Oman’s commitment to authenticity and hospitality — values that shine through every visit.

Qatar Specialist Programme

Qatar’s course gave me a wonderful insight into how this small Gulf nation blends tradition and innovation. From the elegant architecture of Msheireb Downtown to the timeless beauty of Souq Waqif and the desert dunes of Khor Al Adaid, the programme highlighted how Qatar is positioning itself as a destination for culture, adventure, and luxury — all in one.

Marina sits beside her world globe

I’ve always believed that travel planning should be personal, informed, and inspired. Completing these certifications helps me stay current with what’s new and exciting, so when you plan your trip through Arabian Cities and Sands, you’ll benefit from both my years of on-the-ground experience and my up-to-date professional insights.

I’ll continue to upskill and add more destinations to my portfolio — so do check back soon to see where I’ve been learning next!
