Back in 2020, Marina had a company, Xpedition Arabia, which offered guided self-drive adventures in Oman and the UAE, something she still does, via Arabian Cities and Sands.
During lockdown in Scotland, she worked her way through here collection of 200,000 photos, identifying 1001 which could be used for a book. The book still has not been written, but here’s a small sample of some of the pics which made the cut!
A friend also pointed out that these show the vast experience I have of offroading, exploring, and understanding the culture and heritage of Oman and the UAE – essential for a travel agent and tour guide and something I should be shouting out to the world!
The photos are not necessarily technically perfect, but have been chosen to tell the story of my first 10 years in the Arabian Gulf and documenting just some of the amazing experiences I have had over the years.
